Hi the only real way to tell is to measure the stoke. The TT31 has a slightly shorter stroke than the TT27(which is 53.8mm). The 31 also in original trim would have a bore of 49.0 to 49.5 and use a 98mm rod compared to a 100mm in a 27. HTH Mick
