TKM's push start easily enough if you learn and set them up, them only won't start when either there is something wrong with the kart or the combination of the pusher and driver.

As with max, mechanical issue is normally the reason it won't start straight up. Difference is it can often be fixed in 15-20 seconds (pushing it properly and using the throttle properly) with an expereince person, where as running back for a new battery takes longer.

If someone then can't push start you can fit the optional clutch and use the starter - they are the same pace, but I prefer the feel of a DD engine.
