adam that test doesnt mean anything. Karts are not built symmetrically so the test you did means nothing. best way to check the kart is take all the bodywork off the kart, rest a new axle across the jokes on the front, should rest against the king pins and line up the front and rear axles standing back at a distance. That is a very accurate method. As for jigging, karts are not usually ever put back in the jig due to shrinkage but are measured on a flat bed using various tools. Paul Carr checked my sidewinder a few years ago so either go to him or someone local with a flat bed. I would suggest head 2 head in wigan as they have a flat bed.
