Are you saying that those of us who have bought 09 barrels will have to throw them away now because of this gain in performance?

We have found that they are faster than our fastest "old" barrel but what we have noticed is there is a very small gap between the drivers that are using them. We are talking 100ths here not 10ths

They may be faster than the old barrels but there is virtually no difference in performance between 09 barrels.

This has been a long time coming and while I do have some sympathy for the guys that spent mega bucks on proven fast pre 09 motors this will level the playing field and to a certain extent put an end to cheque book racing.

A class is sealed to level the playing field is my understanding. Rotax has been anything but a level playing field up till now!
