You are best advised having the face of an impact socket machined flat to allow a better contact on the whole of the very thin nut that holds the sprocket as many sockets at that size tend to have a 'lead' bevel which will reduce the contact area.
As the valantino fan (doctor46) there is a specific tool produced to allow the safe holding of the sprocket in a vice.
