Funnily enough John I know of at least two people that compete in non-MSA events down my neck of the woods, both running unsealed engines, one with a majorly altered clutch (makes the greasing clutch brigade look like they aren't doing anything) and one running a bored out barrel. Both plead that their engines are fully legal, but neither will go MSA (and both have done).

Then again, one of them is a person I raced against in a non-MSA Junior Open class, running a JICA engine and pleading that it was putting out less power than a Junior Max engine!!
