Yes there is a shortage of SL8 Tyres.
JAG apparently were delivered 300 sets short and with Italy on holiday for all of August plus the time to get production running again on their return then the transport stocks are not likely to be back to normal until mid Sept.
To say that 'traders are too miserable to buy them in' is a bit short sighted, after all how else are we supposed to make money if we do not have stock? We are all in the same position with empty shelves. It has opened the door for some to hike the price for the few sets around due to demand, but those traders who have adopted that stratergy may be remembered for this later!!!
