Always the bad economic times excuse. IMO the drop in karting numbers has far more to do with bad management and incestuous commercial decisions than anything else. Especially those that are driving away potential new young blood.

The list goes on, unless the MSA wakes up and realises that karting below British Championship level should be a CHEAP form of motor SPORT and that they need to reign in those who want to keep making big money from it, nothing will change. Otherwise you can follow the French model and watch it disappear up its own backside as those who are left get charged more and more to compete.
