the bigger the jet the richer the mixture will be

you dont want a barometer. you want to know the air density. this is a function of pressure, temperature and humidity.

start off rich. do some laps / acceleration runs. change to a lower jet (experiment with the needle clip position too) and repeat until you are getting the best lap times. dont go too lean tho!

note the air density and temp for the jet/needle position.

do this on a couple of days for a few different air densities and you have a nice graph to use.

always best to learn what the effects of changing a parameter are, rather than trusting solely in a black box.
