Depends, if you can afford the best there’s one that’s leagues ahead of all the rest; regardless of whether 2-stroke or 4-stroke – you won’t care about any of that anymore. Test drive one and all doubt will vanish. It’s the one that does it all in karting.
Test drive all the others first, then you’ll know for sure.

Ditto on the race option.

Otherwise get a Rotax; it’s the only way to play it reasonably safe in this soft, contracting market.
