We had a problem where we broke our silver rad and had to change to a black one, we were told we needed to change the thermostat. However look at both rads, there is nothing different about them apart from the colour, they are completely interchangable.

Stick the silver rad on the kart and don't bother changing the thermostat, it will be apsolutely fine, and also at 2 MSA tracks we have been too with a black rad on a thermostat engine the scrutineers have never even taken a second look at it.

Its all a load of BS about needing to change them, the regs say you need to use a complete rotax system of which this is, it never says anything about using certain rads on thermostat or non thermostat.
