You say you have tried 3.6g floats but did you change to the 60/60 primary jets at the same time. If you simply swapped the floats to 3.6 from 5.2 that will be an issue plus you will have rendered the carb illegal for MSA.
Changing the float weight has an effect on main jetting which also needs to be taken into account.
