I’d also recommend the Iame to anyone just starting or with a younger driver. If buying now, I just can’t see the point in putting money into Comer’s, yes there are some bargains but that’s only because people are shifting to the Iame and so prices have plummeted! What were multi-thousand pound front running engines, seems to be worth in the hundreds now! Even so I’d still rather pay Ł1000 for a zero hour new engine than Ł500 for something that might need a new barrel at it’s next service!
Yes I can see why people (with engines already) don’t like the switch, after all the MSA made a right pig’s ear of the whole process but it is a good engine and I think it will take off.
