The information you have been given is correct. 'Lift off' should be equal side to side. Lift off increases as the front wheels are spaced outwards along the stub , and as the caster angle is increased. Try a bit more fronts out. No lift off either way indicates a very flexible chassis which at worst could be a fracture. A twisted chassis would give more lift off one side than the other and the fronts would not point straight ahead with the kart at rest and unloaded.
