As important as the flex length is the restrictor you are using. On one restrictor Alex could match the laps of most drivers but because of the different characteristics in different places he couldn't pass and got monstered on the straights. Cost him a podium at the SWs.

Not necessarily relevant but adds weight to IT's helpful post. Also be aware that the flex length may be different with the restrictor so any "tip" may not be that valuable.
