I have recently bought a pair of RPM tuned E spec engines,1st time out on them the other day was a bit dissapointed.Did a compression test and was only getting 100 psi so was thinking time for new rings and head rebuild. Then i thought might aswell upgrade to UT1 piston and rings but this may have allready been done.My question is how can i tell ? The piston has ZH8 01 (or 10 8HZ depends which way up you look at it!)stamped on it.I know the rings are thinner on a UT1 but have nothing to compare them with.Was also going to give the bore a quick deglaze with a 3 leg glaze buster tool and fit G4 springs.Any advice would be most welcome as this will be my 1st rebuild ps have read brian p's e-book cheers Des
