Hi Graeme The engines were last rpm tuned about 2 years ago (no dyno read out)and have done 3 4hr endurance races since according to the previous owner when i did the compression test i only removed the ex rocker would this have given me the low reading ? If i do need to change rings do i need to deglaze the bore(it does seem quite shiny and there are light brown stains down the bore there is also light brown colour around the rockers, what does this suggest?) If changing the rings(on old type piston)would the extra expense of upgrading to UT1 piston be worth it in terms of extra bhp Will redo comp. test and check for slightly raised piston thanks Des
