I can't find ANY reference to 'good old days' in what I wrote.

My point was on BEAUTY and ELEGANCE, not HERTITAGE!

Hold a PERFECTLY honed, razor edged TT22 con-rod in your left hand and a Honda GX160 one in your RIGHT hand....! Both are from 'Kart Engine'.

Hold a Snap-On 10mm spanner and the pressed-speel one from an Ikea-Kitchen-kit. They BOTH work on 10mm nuts....

Now go an hold a Cosworth Cylinder-head and then a Trabant one..... Both pefectly well power road cars....

Hold a beautifully tailored Saville Row suit and then a market-teeshirt-and-jeans...... Both cover your modesty and keep you warm.....

Eat a well cooked Spaghetti Carbonara and then try a Pot Noodle..... Both are food..... (supposedly......)

If you CAN'T see the differences when each pair are really doing the same thing.... then I am never going to be able to explain it to you.... it's about BEAUTY and ELEGENCE.....

There is something 'better' about the 'classy' version of each which is NOT directly connected to the FUNCTION..... that 'something' is called ELEGENCE and BEAUTY! It's the same difference between a Porcelain Cup and a pile of wet earth.... they are BOTH clay......

For those who would say..... 'give me cheapness over BEAUTY everytime' ..... then ProKarting is EXACTLY where you should be! We'll never explain 'beauty' to you...... if you need to ask what it is.... you'll never understand the ANSWER!

Enjoy the simple and direct pleasures of a ProKart but ALSO marvel in the sheer MAGNIFICENCE of a ludicrously compact 100cc motor....

I often show my TT22 to 'ignorant' (in the REAL meaning of the word!) friends explaining that I can hold 25-28bhp and 18,000 rpm..... in ONE HANDS with the TT22. Multiply the CC and the BHP by the number of times larger their car's engine is and compare. Let's guess they arrive in a 1800cc car which gives them 100 bhp..... a 1800cc TT would be delivering FOUR HUNDRED and FIFTY bhp..... across a rev range starting at 5000 rpm and rising to EIGHTEEN THOUSAND RPM if pushed.....
