Hi,
I have a question which I feel has not been asked before. I used to run the right hand engine (offside) with an inboard clutch to prevent rubbing on the seat but I have been told that the crank seal on the engine may weep into the clutch affecting the clutches performance I have therefore changed to running the clutch outboard but have noticed that this rubs on the seat and with the extra pressure on the clutch is wearing the shoes unevenly and much quicker than the other side.
Can I machine the bell mouth part of the clutch off to prevent this rubbing on the seat? Or would you advise just to run the clutch inboard.
Thanks in advance
Ross
