When I won the Teesside sprint series back in 2004 it was all standing starts and I bet there were just as many issues into the "S" and first corner as with the rolling starts especially at the first hairpin as the tyres are stone cold. (It also made it obvious who was using tyre softner!!!) . There was a front middle and back starting format also (ie no qualifying).

Both have their pros and cons but my preference would be for the rolling start so long as COC are tough on over aggressive behaviour and the starting speed is kept acceptable. This does not immediately disadvantage heavier drivers and/or those that start buying/setting up specific clutches for the starts.
