the reason i ask is that i have purchased a spare k spec engine off ebay. the seller said it was his spare engine and has been sat on his shelf for years with very little use. All the external parts of the engine look genuine used honda parts, but the block is very clean and appears to have very little if any use. on inspection the casting looks ok appart from under the cover where the cast says zh-8 which is barely legible. What i am basically worried about is has he basically built an engine around a clone block. the seller has drilled and tapped for pulse pump, fitted gx140 springs and is ready to go.
