1) we have had the IAME onto the same dyno as the Honda - and its a bit off our old Honda clubman motor (about the same difference a clubman and a SP motor). 2) on the evidence of recent test days - boys who were similar performance to my son in Hondas are now about 1 sec a lap faster in the wet and greasy weather we are having. The IAME seems to get out dragged easily in the mid speed stuff (ie between last and first corner at Whilton) 3) carbs in IAME are very sensitive to temp and pressure changes - only by a few mins - but makes a big diff to getting the thing to work properly or not. Whilst the carb doesn't go down as easily as Bambi on rollerskates as the Comer carb does, it certainly isn't just set it and forget about it. 4) So far, the IAME is proving as trouble free to run as the Honda, but the carbs are sensitive. But the overall feeling from all these changes is the kids are going to be going slower overall, and is that really a good thing?
