Faster - The king pin is fixed in two places so their failure mode is a shear - thus the bolts used have a high tensile strength. Stub axles are only fixed at one end so will usually bend.
To help prevent the king pin from shearing, make sure the full assembly is correctly packed with spacers and nipped tight so that there's no slack when lifting the stub up and down. Also make sure nothing loading the pin has a sharp edge as this is where they will fail. When replacing the king pin, check that the new allen bolt has the right tensile strength and that there is no side loading on the threaded section.
