Seems some confusion here over standard/race prepared.
A standard out the box engine at £200 is effectively a generator engine, it requires quite a lot of work just to make it suitable for racing. Just as a minimum you will need to: 1. Remove tank & Governer system. 2. Change Valve springs 3. Fit Vacuum feed for fuel pump. 4. Fit engine cover & Fuel pump. 5. Fit throttle system. 6. Fit Clutch
By the time you have done this you will be close to a race prepared engine in parts alone and with a race prepared engine you should get a whole lot more.
At a minimum you want:
1. Torque hone. 2. Cam timing Optimisation. 3. Race exhaust. 4. Carb correctly jetted.
