There will be an optimal seat position and there are a good few R2s at Warden Law (including Boyes Lane) who should be able to help you out. I wouldn't worry too much about it being laid back - I used to love the seat with a good tilt.

It has been a while since I have driven an R2 but I think they are run fairly narrow at the rear (in the dry) with a loose rear bumper an dthen similarly narrow at the front. Tyre pressures will be around 23-25 for SL1s.
