I think you would be fine. The Type A helmets are only just out of regs and common sense is employed at WL. Condition is important and if it is fine I am certain that you won't have any problem, however, best to ask the scrutineer on race day. I doubt that you will not be permitted to race but he will advise what you need. There are numerous motorcyle helmets that are used at WL.

MSA or otherwise saftey is important and teh officials are there to help us with these questions.
