I disagree... plug height is critical and indexing would be possible if cutting was allowed... but it isn't.

I have watched the vids and you have to cut a face for the insert to seat. This cutting is not something you can easily measure when drilling/cutting.

By all means try it but if your plug is still in the same position vertically and pointing the same direction/indexed, after using the insert then I will eat my words.

I am not against the procedure for stripped threads in general... just the plug hole threads.
