Genuine magnum shoes & springs apparently last well, as said the main problem is sprocket wear, increaced greatly by poor quality chain and lack of suficcient good quality lube.
However it is worth noting that there are a number of non genuine pattern clutches appearing that seem to have been fitted with mushed up cornflake packets for shoes and are lasting about as long as a box of cornflakes lasts at home!
