From the majority that I spoke with the general consensus was simply to keep the rule as we currently have it - it has worked for all these years, why change it now.

Thankfully our class does not have an issue with tyre wear/drop-off that the other classes has and it wasn't that long ago that Jamie Rose did a full season on one set and was still quick.

Bit of a non-issue except that when the orange dot tyres get released and they are slower we can switch back to purple.
