After a disappointing outing at Bayford Meadows last month due to technical problems the Aixro XR30, 30BHP wankel engine, returned to Whilton Mill on Saturday to show off its strength.
Starting from the back in the first heat and finishing 2nd gave faith that this small compact unit could only do better and to that end it won both the 2nd and 3rd heat. The Final, after further minor kart adjustments, it pulled out the length of the back straight lead to come home a worthy winner.
Many thanks go out to Steve at Aim for the loan of the Kosmic kart and Josh for coming up to Whilton to sit in the Aixro for the very first time.
We now await the MSA to give their approval of the engine.
