I agree with Dogman. My son also started at Forest Edge this year. We've done two race weekends since his ARKS and at the first one he was 4.5 seconds off the pace and at the last one he got that down to 2.5 seconds off the pace. We have a reasonable RPM clubman engine which I'm not even giving much thought to at the moment. Most of the time I can see from the sidelines where he's losing time and I then get him to concentrate on one specific improvement at each session. It's becoming harder to spot the mistakes now that he is closing the gap. I think if I was going to spend any money at this stage it would be on data recording, a camera or just some more coaching. Certainly not the engine anyway.
