It depends on what the fuel source IS in the reactors that you are sugesting. You will note, I stated betwen 5 and 10,000 years, there are two ends to that rang! It is suspected that, in years AFTER the dropping of the bomb in Nagasaki a further 140 THOUSAND have died from radiation 'poisoning'.

Around Chernobyl.... there is a 30 KILOMETRE area called 'the Zone of Alienation' where people (mostly) are BANNED! Centre that 30km ring on.... let's guess... the Houses of Parliament and imaging THAT 'zone' being uninhabitable!

There are STILL (22 years later) farms in North Wales and Cumbria where it is ILLEGAL to sell sheep (mutton/lamb) becasue of the contamination from Chernobyl!

Even if your nuclear cars had only VERY small amounts of 'fuel', how difficult would it be to get the 'core' from only ONE THOUSAND cars (visit ANY scrap yard today to see how hard it would be to get 1000 engines!)? Now simply heat THAT lot up in the centre of a city with the average kiln owned by ANY hobby potter..... with the LID off and notice the 'fallout' area from the ash/vapourised fuel........

Anyway, the fundamental physicts behind 'nuclear power' is that you get an exothermic reaction when you bring ENOUGH fuel together. There is a minimum amount, below which, nothing very 'interesting' happens. It is therefore IMPOSSIBLE to reduce a reactor in size below a certain amount of fuel.

Stop trying to suggest some silly form of governement cover up! Nuclear is even FURTHER from the concept of 'car power' than is that damned WATER engine! I would have NO problem if the water engined worked but I WOULD take up arms to prevent the 'nuclear car'!
