Well it sounds great...until you crash into me, anyone else…or anything else. So the guy driving at 70mph gets hit by the guy driving at 95mph because they felt comfortable at 95. Well, if they have a crash and seriously injure the guy travelling at 70, at least they felt 'comfortable' at 95 eh? Or maybe they weren’t quite as ‘comfortable’ as they thought they were.
Of course, travelling much slower than everyone else can be just as dangerous as travelling faster. What needs to happen is everyone travel at roughly the same speed, with the right compromise between safety and practicality. Which has been deemed to be 70mph, so why not stick to it eh?
