Seriously, do you really believe that all the speed reduction measures in F1 have had much to do with safety? More to do with bunching the cars up, make it more interesting for the viewing spectator! The cars are so strong now that there's very little chance of serious injury in a crash. Now that's what was driven by safety, not the cars' speed!
Ecklestone is more concerned with revenue from TV and advertising rather than safety! The proof being Silverstone! The widest, biggest run-off areas of all race tracks in the land, yet he's been after Silverstone's scalp ever since he failed to buy it!
