Do you believe the Earth's oil & Gas reserves are running out?..... Well i am constantly amazed at what nature throws up for us.
Apparently much of the worlds ocean floor is covered in huge deposits of Gas Hydrate. In crude terms its a solid form of Methane , with an energy density many times greater than gas , oil. or coal, that we have yet to exploit.
Known reserves are estimated to be enough to keep us in energy for thousands of years !

Of course its still a fossil fuel with all that carbon issue to annoy the GW enthusiasts, but at least we will be able to keep the lights on until we can get fission power sorted. !
