I don't think ANYONE would ever claim that users could NOT use a Mac for a specific task. However, I also trust that YOU would not deny that a surgeon could use a sharpened SPADE to remove an APPENDIX..... he'f need to do work on it, it'd need re-working and a CONSIDERABLE length of time to modify it as required. And THAT's the equivalent.

However, you have COMPLETE:LY failed to address my point.... like the others, you have assumed that the 'headline' tasks (word processing, speradsheets, email, etc.) are the LARGEST bulk of the programs out there.... they are NOT! Yes; they ARE the most COMMONLY used but there are MILLIONS of smaller programs which run businesses for which, as yet, there are NO substitutes available to work on a OSx (etc) system! Witin YARDS of my 'office' there is a small coach company who use a proprietory booking system (written for DOS, mind you.... not Windows). There is N*O*T*H*I*N*G like it available in an OSx form. What do you propose that THEY do??????!!!!!!

Yes, you CAN use a Mac in an office in EXACTLY the same way that a surgeon CAN use a SPADE as a scalpel..... neither are ideal for the task, however!
