Sorry to bore you with this, I know we have had similar threads before....but your help would be appreciated.

My son who is just 18, passed his test last week and has the money to buy himself a 1.2 Clio, (2004 I think), but he has just been quoted 8000 quid to insure it.

There has to be something better than that, I know it is going to cost, but that is just completely mad, and about 4x what he is paying for the car....

Any good stories, or companies to go for?, but please no suggestions about putting him on my insurance, for one thing I want him to get onto the no claims ladder, and for another.....it`s illegal.

So cheers peeps.....any help gratefully accepted!!!
