2010’s F1 season prediction proved to be a close run thing again this years and was yet again won on the very last race of the season. 2009 guru Sir Bobslosak chose not to defend his title, his where abouts remains unknown, although someone suggest they saw him in a shop doorway in a cardboard box with a can of special brew in one hand.
One unfortunate disqualification was Itpro for ‘hijacking the thread’ a $50 million dollar fine was also imposed, harsh – but fair, Rich Pud and Chris Kasch were given 10 second penalties for their part in the scandal, between them clocking up a staggering 27 unrelated posts. $50mil for the first offence, next years punishment will involve a vice and a left gonad.
Points scored were as follows: All total points for your top 3 drivers + 25 for the Donkey(Schumacher) + 25 for guessing correct 1st place driver Vettel; 18 for correct 2nd place driver Alonso (nothing for 3rd because no one guessed Webber)
Seriously, no one put Webber in their guess list – so I think he qualifies for the ‘performance of the season award’ – I feel your pain Webber.
The most picked Donkey was Button, closely followed by Schumacher, the peoples favourite Donkey. 2011, looks like it will included no less than 5 F1 champs on the grid – anyone know if/ when that has happened before?
Hot favourite Hamilton was guessed by most to win 2010, just 2 predicted Vettel for the win. Alonso 3 – Button 2 and a couple predicted Schumacher to win the title (Matt Bell and Razh54 ;-)). Last place finisher was Traxtar with 456 points – for some its not the winning that counts – it’s the daily struggle getting out of bed.
