lbs, im in the same boat as you, im still a student, however dont let your anger twist the truth about the riots, the students struck first, they were the ones that went to london, they were the ones looking for a fight, they were the ones that threw bottles, petrol bombs, snooker balls and paint at the police and set fire to bins, smashed windows, being dragged of their horses and beaten on the ground etc...

...are the police just meant to stand by and let it all happen?????? NO OF COURSE NOT!!!!.....the police have to act accordingly, if that means arresting people or trying to detain them then so be it...the police are there to do a job.

im sure if you were a shopkeeper in the area that had your windows smashed or were caught up in the riots on the way back from work youd have a completely different opinion on the riots
