It was a joke. However I'm sorry if you took offence. My family and majority of my friends come from East/ North London.

There is no excuse but is indicative of the lack of power the police have in certain areas of the country and stems from a lack of respect at home, in school and society as a whole.

Peaceful protests should be encouraged. Mindless vandalism either individual or as a mob should be dealt with in the manner that they are accustomed to. Personally I feel that the low flying police helicopter would be far more effective carring a marksman.
