Well looking at it another way there were at least around 200 entrants in total including over 60 sidecar outfits of which 2 people tragically died meaning approx. 1% fatality rate.
There are 26 countries in the world who can boast a higher fatality rate on their roads so maybe these countries should all be banned from driving as well?
The central African Republic alone boasts 13472 road fatalities per every 100,000 road users making it spectacularly more dangerous to venture out on the roads there than ride in the TT or perhaps they don't matter as much because they dont make any hysterical headlines......
