The shutter delay on digital cameras. Not all digital cameras suffer this, true many do however if you have the budget to move int the professional slr range of bodies from Canon or Nikon for example you will not suffer any delay.
I have a Canon 5d which is excellent and are now selling on ebay for less than their original cost as there is a MK2 version out which has reduced the residual on the MK1.
on the image stabilisation subject again the professional range of Canon lenses (L series)will not present any problem with some being available with 2 stage stabilisation in vertical or horisontal planes to cope with landscape / portrait panning shots.
All of the above comes at a price but the quality of image is stunning. an aditional bonus is that the Canon 5D and 1D models have full frame image which means that the image frame is the same size as 35mm film whereas many of the lower models 30D etc have a smaller original image area.
