but dont you admire the cleaver design that gives the required strength but uses lighter & less material and faster construction. ??
By using this design , considerable matrial, time, and cost, was taken out of the original construction...now if you want to alter the intended use, you will have to put that time ,cost and material, back into the structure.
...After all, it was designed as a "roof space" ... not as a "future games room" !

You should come "down-under" where it is still common to use "Wriggley Tin " and flat roof's !!... ( profiled rolled coated steel or aluminium)
