you wonder if it's always deliberate with Bernie or a semantics thing.

If he simply said 'as tragic as Senna's death was/is - the fact is it led to something positive afterwards in terms of safey...' then we could all accept that.

But I agree timing is a Bernie speciality and I reckon a lot of the time he knows exactly what he wants to say and the impact he wants it to have.

That said, something like that in a country where the man was and still is worshipped isn't the smartest of moves. I'd love it if customs on the way out ask him to step out of the line and into a room to be searched - randomly of course!

El Presidente can just say 'Bernie - it was nothing to do with me - I swear...'
