This is probably my mistake for using the word Forecasting, but this was an explanation given by the BBC forecasting team for what was supposedly happening at the moment.Why the UK was getting freezing weather now, not what will or might happen in the future.

The explanation, from my point of view, did not appear to be the case, as the weather has been just as cold here, if not colder than normal.

However, having had a discussion about this over lunch, it should be noted that the atmosphere here has been much damper than usual, clothes not drying on the line and condesation inside etc. which might be because of this, who knows.
