Can I just rid a myth here?!

Every time I mention or hear mention of someone owning a Rover 200/25 / MGZR, all I get is "Have fun with the head gasket!"

I've owned my car nigh on a year, head gasket hasn't been changed in three, not a hint of a problem!!

Simple fact is, so long as you're not revving the nuts off your engine, the head gasket will last the length of time it should!

My cars been fine and I've been taking care of it. I owned my old Renault Clio a month and was replacing a head gasket that had previously been done a year before!! And why? Because my cousin (the previous owner) hammered the car, and then so did I!!
