You make some good points, especially on tyres, IMO the one big factor in making karting too expensive.
But how does sealing engines help those who spanner themselves on a budget? It just hands a load more work and money to the karting industry, the only ones already consistently winning.
However from the other side of the fence in France it seems that you have it good in the UK already, at least you have the choice of premium or budget classes at most levels and even non MSA events.
Here it's all or nothing, big buck FFSA classes or not at all. Karting is controlled by Sodi and Alpha karting who are screwing everyone with prices almost double of that in the UK.
