QOT......
The same rule appears in the 2008 BB for car racing and is, in my opinion, a complete nonsense. If the rule were rigourously enforced it would make a mockery of "racing" and the only way to be fair would be to send the karts or cars out individually and see who is quickest. Oh hang on, isn't that what hillclimbs and sprints ar for?
Racecraft is a hugely important skill, both overtaking and defending, and quick drivers without it will not win consistantly.
Blocking, weaving and blatant contact are the things that should be clamped down on and of course the behaviour of some parents and their offspring towards other competitors, parents and officials!
