Dan, if you get back in touch with the supplier, or with a receipt, you can get confirmation of model/age/etc. You can then get in touch with the importer/manufacturer/etc. which might be able to issue a replacement sticker. You might also need to send it off to the importer/manufacturer for certification though.
As James said, it might still be inside the liner. I suspect though that when the painter stripped the helmet in preparation for painting the sticker fell off from where it was stuck on the inside and got misslaid. I know the painters do have the habit of removing and re-placing the outside stickers but the inside ones are overlooked easily.
