Its just another £30 thing to stick on your kart. Same as the chain guard: does nothing.
If they are worried about discs breaking they should change the next homologation so the disc has to be above the height of the rail.
Karts are getting too heavy, heavy body work, heavy water cooled engines, and these extra pieces of crap that we are all forced to buy.
It gets me that we have to by these extras after you get your kart. I still remember taking a my first kart to kimbo and having to put a hose clip on the stearing column, and a can on the exhaust. If you need that then why didn't it come on the kart?
And i've broken two discs.
